Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy a home after I have filed bankruptcy or had slow
credit in the past?
There are all kinds of programs available to help people that
are credit challenged as well as those with good credit. I have helped people that were previously bankrupt, slow credit,
limited credit, and excellent credit. Even if you do not qualify right now, I am willing to help you obtain your dream
of buying a home.
Why is buying better than renting?
Buying a home can provide you with some great benefits. The
long-term gain in value can assist you with building wealth for your future. It gives you an opportunity to receive
a return on your investment, while renting will deny you the priviledge of building equity. Having a home of your own
can also provide you with tax benefits.
How do I prepare for buying a home?
1. Plan well before you buy and be prepared. 2.
Know what you can afford and don't let anyone push you beyond your limits. 3. Save as much money as possible
prior to your purchase, have extra savings. 4. Manage your money well and stick to a solid budget.
The media has been saying a lot of negative things about the real estate industry. Based
on what I have heard, I am afraid to buy now because so many people are losing or going to lose their homes to foreclosure.
Should I buy now or wait till later?
While there has been a lot of negative reports in the media regarding the real estate industry at large. Some
markets have not suffered as severly as others. Augusta, Georgia is a great place to live and now is the time to
buy. Interest rates have reached some of the lowest levels in American history and we do not know at what point they
will rise. With this in mind and the significant amount of choices you have as a buyer, I believe this market has provided
you with some grand opportunites, so seize the moment to build a better future.
Would you buy a home in this market as a realtor?
Knowing that this is the best buyers market that we have seen for
quite a while, I did buy in this market. Also, with interest rates as low as they are, I am glad I bought in this market.
